The UEN Steering Committee met in a combined strategic planning retreat and business meeting. SURIN passed a resolution in the May 12, 2008 Board meeting as follows: SURIN moves to have UEN sign the Legacy RSA pending the review and approval of the agreement by the University of Utah legal department. Further, SURIN moves to have UEN develop a position paper providing information to other legacy holders of IPv4 space, enabling these holders to make a decision regarding signing the ARIN Legacy RSA. UEN Steering Committee members asked several questions regarding this resolution and unanimously approved support for this action by the SURIN Board. SURIN is now working the legal department at the University of Utah. A meeting is scheduled for June 30, 2008 with the legal department to review the legacy RSA. Once this review is finalized and the legacy RSA is signed, the SURIN Technical Advisory Board will develop the SURIN position paper and make this available for consideration by other legacy address holders.
